Designer Notes is where it all started — my handwriting, free to use, and one of the more popular things I've ever put out into the world. If you've spotted my scrawl on a mockup somewhere, odds are this is it.
You get a Regular and a Bold, free for the download over on DaFont. No catch.
Want the full set? Designer Notes Pro adds an Italic and a few refinements — same hand, more range.
Designer Notes is a free handwriting font made from the notes in my sketchbook, written with a Pilot Precise V5RT pen. It comes in Regular and Bold, it's available on DaFont, and it has been downloaded more than 300,000 times there. It's the original version of Designer Notes Pro, the full family on MyFonts.
Designer Notes works well for wireframe labels, markups and callouts on comps, which is what the hand was made for. Set your notes in Regular and the callouts you want seen first in Bold. If your project needs accented letters, italics or kerning, use Designer Notes Pro.
Designer Notes is the free original, in Regular and Bold. Designer Notes Pro is the full family built from it, with Italic and Bold Italic added, accented letters for Western European languages and kerning so letter pairs sit evenly. If you need any of those, use Pro.
No. Designer Notes covers the basic Latin alphabet, figures and punctuation, without accented letters. For French, Spanish, German or other Western European text, use Designer Notes Pro, which includes them.
Designer Notes is available free on DaFont. Check the license notes that come with the download for how you can use it.
